Reducing our impact on the environment means adopting a whole range of behaviours. It’s no longer just a question of waste and waste management, but rather of limiting waste production. The first step is to maintain our equipment, in particular the filtration system in our water coolers, until it is no longer in working order.
Water coolers designed to last
As with any other appliance, wear and tear on a water cooler is a normal phenomenon. At Global Coolers, our values drive us to offer durable equipment that goes the distance. When you buy a water cooler from one of our ranges, you are not only buying a product designed to last, but also an exceptional after-sales service, enabling us to work on your machines, even the oldest models. Our teams come in and diagnose the operating condition of the water cooler, before deciding whether it can be repaired or whether it needs to be replaced and its components recycled.
Anticipate wear and tear on the filtration of our water coolers to extend their service life
The gradual wear and tear of our products can be anticipated by regular maintenance. There are a number of key steps to ensure that your water cooler lasts longer, before it needs to be replaced or repaired. These steps are as follows:
- Filter replacement every 6 months. This frequency is recommended by our services, to keep your water clean and healthy for as long as possible, and to prevent the spread and development of bacteria that could be harmful to your users. Remember that our water coolers are connected directly to the existing water network. As this water may be subject to the presence of foreign bodies or bacteria, it is essential to maintain optimum filtration for your water cooler.
- Disinfect the water circuits once or twice a year. This action is recommended to prevent the development and spread of bacteria. As well as changing filters, circuit disinfection also helps to prevent the formation and build-up of limescale, which could prevent our water coolers from working properly and cause premature wear and tear.
- To extend the life of your machine, you should carry out daily or even weekly cleaning. For example, cleaning the water collection tray, the bodywork and all the external surfaces of the water coolers, the buttons of course, as well as any surfaces or components that have come into contact with your users. This cleaning helps to prevent the spread of germs and disease. Components that come into direct contact with the water, such as the water distribution nozzles, should also be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable disinfectant. The ventilation grilles should also be thoroughly cleaned to remove dust and prevent the machine from overheating. These simple instructions will ensure that your water cooler lasts a few years longer.
